ABOUT THE JOB

A bartender’s role is one of the most intimate for hospitality. A combination of the creativity of a chef with the welcoming nature of a host, the bartender owns the beverage experience for the guest. Our bars include The Secret Mermaid (a bar focused on American craft spirits in the heart of Raffles Place) and The World is Flat (a bar at Jewel Changi Airport, offering the premiere cocktail bar experience for travelers).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The bar is your domain and the lifeblood of the business. You’ll be responsible for learning the ins and outs of the menu, develop great knowledge of the beers and spirits available, and use this knowledge to craft cocktails and make drink suggestions to guests. You’ll take pride in having a bar that is spotlessly clean, and set up ready to pour drinks out to the thirsty crowd. Preparation is important, so ensuring syrups, garnish, and other ingredients necessary for the cocktails are stocked and ready for use.

WHAT YOU NEED

A knack and passion for hospitality and a desire to work to the best of your ability.
A positive attitude and the traits of a team player.
As you are on the front-line, you will need to be well-groomed and have a great attitude
Interest in spirits and beer; we want you to be excited about what we carry and able to share that excitement with the customers.

DESIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES  

The position is open to folks with new experience, but certainly previous experience working in a bar or restaurant would be beneficial.
Familiarity with cocktail recipes and types of beer.

COMPENSATION

$2,200 and upwards depending on experience
